client base in the Americas region around design thinking
workshops. This role will provide technical expertise in support of
pre-sales activities. There is an empasis on sales first,
technical, second. A sucessful candidate will have a combination of
sales and techical experience.As a Sales Engineer/Technical
Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for leading the
application of design thinking methodologies to drive innovation,
problem-solving, and user-centric solutions to our business
partners within our organization focused on Ai and watsonx suite of
products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to
identify challenges, ideate Ai solutions, and implement strategies
in Arrow Solutions Lab that enhance user experience and drive
business growth. The ideal candidate is a creative thinker,
empathetic listener, and skilled facilitator with a passion for
driving positive change through human-centered design. What You'll
Be Doing
- Establish relationships by work with the Arrow Brand teams,
partners and customers in support of joint Sales, Marketing and
Services team objectives and engages and leverages resources,
abilities, budgets and personnel as appropriate
- Facilitate Design Thinking Workshops to Lead and facilitate the
workshops, brainstorming sessions, and design sprints to generate
innovative ideas and solutions
- Partner Research and Empathy Building by conducting partner
research, interviews, and observations to gain deep insights into
user needs, pain points, and behaviors prior to workshop
- Develop personas and empathy maps to inform design
decisions
- Provide problem framing and description by collaborating with
partners to define problem statements, challenge assumptions, and
reframe problems in a human-centered context
- Solutions Architect provides ideation and prototyping guidance
to generate and refine ideas through ideation techniques such as
sketching, prototyping, and storyboarding
- Rapidly prototype and iterate on solutions to gather feedback
and validate hypotheses
- Cross-Functional collaboration and team building will be a
major focus. Working closely with cross-functional brand teams
including product managers, engineers, designers, and marketers to
integrate design thinking into all stages of product development
and innovation initiatives
- Develop workshop design strategies and roadmaps that align with
business objectives and user needs. Advocate for user-centric
design principles and best practices across the organization
- Champion a culture of innovation and design thinking within the
organization
- Provide training, mentorship, and support to teams to embed
design thinking principles into their workflows
- Provide input to Channel Mangers and Brand Managers on any
technical requirements, competition, decision making process and
funding
- Supports Sales, Marketing and Services leadership meetings
- Presents and markets the design and value of proposed supplier
Technology solution and business case to partners, customers,
prospects and Arrow management
- Must be an active participant in social media related
promotions and events. Providing weekly posting on Ai topics and
trends What We Are Looking For A successful candidate possesses
detailed product/technology/industry knowledge. In depth knowledge
of watsonx suite and other Ai associated hardware, software,
virtual & cloud technologies and applications including:
- 4 year degree with 5 years of related experience preferred
- Proven experience applying design thinking methodologies to
solve complex problems and drive innovation
- 4 year degree with 5 years of related experience preferred
- Sales and technical expertise needed
- Proven experience (2 years) applying IBM design thinking
methodologies to solve complex problems and drive innovation
- Strong facilitation skills with the ability to lead workshops
and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Requires in-depth knowledge and experience with IBM SW watsonx
suite, CloudPak Software & SaaS offerings and principles including
current industry certification(s)--- Certification(s) in Cloud
technologies--- Certification(s) on IBM SW stack---
Certification(s) or experience in OSX, Windows and Linux operating
systems (RHEL preferred)--- Certification(s) or experience in
virtualization & container technologies
- Ability to present effectively in front of large groups.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling
skill
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and
manage multiple projects simultaneously

$198,000.00Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from
posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work
